Purpose

The Van Alstyne Education Foundation was founded on the philosophy that public education can be enhanced through a broad-based system of community support, including individual and corporate donors and partnering with educators to enhance and enrich educational opportunities for students and teachers in the Van Alstyne Independent School District (VAISD).

Goals

  • Support Students - Expand scholarship opportunities for graduating VAISD seniors and help students pursue their next chapter

  • Empower Educators - Fund innovative teacher campus grants that provide resources and opportunities beyond the traditional classroom budget.

  • Celebrate Our Teachers and Staff - Show meaningful appreciation for educators and staff who make a difference in the lives of VAISD students.

  • Strengthen Community Partnerships - Bring families, businesses, alumni, educators, and community members together in support of Van Alstyne schools.

  • Grow Community Support - Cultivate lasting relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and local businesses who share our commitment to education.

  • Create Successful Fundraising Opportunities - Build engaging events and giving opportunities that gerenate sustainable funding for scholarships, teacher grants, and educational programs. VAEF’s current events already emphasize bringing the community together while supporting these programs.

  • Build for the Future - Responsibly grow VAEF’s financial resources and endowments so support for VAISD students and educators continues for generations.

  • Increase Awareness and Engagement - Strengthen VAEF’s presence throughout the district and community so more people understand who we are, what we do, and how they can get involved.

  • Celebrate Impact - Share the stories of scholarship recipients, grant recipients, educators, donors, alumni, and community partners to show the difference VAEF support makes.
